Job Description:
Operations Manager
Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Denver, CO and annual board meeting
Reports to: Executive Director
Employment Type: Part-time
Family to Family Support Network (FFSN) is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy professional to join our team as Operations Manager. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth functioning of our internal systems and supporting our mission-driven work. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer to oversee administrative operations, manage IT and communications platforms, and contribute to organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Administration
- Maintain and organize physical and digital administrative files, ensuring compliance with records retention and confidentiality policies.
- Support the development and monitoring of the administrative department budget.
- Coordinate staff travel logistics and manage post-travel expense reporting in collaboration with FFSN’s accountant.
Information Technology & Communications
- Proficiency with the Google Suite of Applications: (Docs, Drive,Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
Serve as primary liaison with external IT vendors and provide internal support for troubleshooting software and platforms.
- Provide internal support for software and platform troubleshooting across the organization.
- Manage the distribution of external communications, including newsletters, program promotions, and fundraising campaigns via electronic platforms.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational needs.
Other Duties
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives to strengthen organizational capacity.
- Support grant reporting and compliance with funder requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in nonprofit operations or a related field.
- Strong IT and computer skills, with experience managing systems and technology projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively in hybrid or remote environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (EDIB) principles and their application in operations.
Compensation
$30-$32/ hour -commensurate with experience.
Flexible remote work environment.
