Tiffany M. Montgomery

Tiffany M. Montgomery, PhD, RNC-OB, C-ONQS, FADLN, FAWHONN, is the Maternal Program Manager of the Women and Infants Services Health Department of a large safety-net hospital in Texas. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at a public university in North Texas. A 20-year veteran L&D nurse, she is a nationally recognized leader in maternal health quality, building Maternal Levels of Care programs across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex that monitor patient care and documentation and implement successful quality-improvement measures to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality. Dr. Montgomery obtained her PhD in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles; her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Education, from California State University, Dominguez Hills; her Master of Science in Health Policy Research from the University of Pennsylvania; and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in African-American Studies from San Jose State University. She completed the National Clinician Scholars Program postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and an additional postdoctoral fellowship at the Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. She holds certifications in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, Electronic Fetal Monitoring, and Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety from the National Certification Corporation, as well as a certification in Respectful, Equitable Care from the Family to Family Support Network. She is a lifetime member of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), a fellow of both the Academy for Diversity Leaders in Nursing and the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), and a member of the National Association for Professionals in Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
